In a shooting in Maguiresbridge, Co Fermanagh, on Wednesday, three people died and a fourth seriously injured.
Today, PSNI have announced their names as Vanessa Whyte and her children, James and Sara.
Vanessa and her daughter, Sara, were pronounced dead at the scene in their home.
Her son, James, was transferred to hospital where he died a short time later.
A man from the same household is in serious condition in hospital.
Locals are describing it as a “domestic tragedy”, but PSNI are not confirming this at this time.
Police, led by Superintendent Robert McGowan, are investigating the incident as a possible triple murder and attempted suicide, with a murder inquiry underway to establish the circumstances.
