Tanaiste Simon Coveney announced this morning that a deal has been reached during Brexit talks, and that he has received assurances that there will be no ‘hard border’ between the Republic and Northern Ireland.
It is understood that the decision was reached after a new deal presented by British PM Theresa May early this morning.
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar expressed his satisfaction about the outcome of the talks.
