Irish playwright Brian Friel will be laid to rest at the Glenties Cemetery in Co. Donegal later today.
He was best known for penning the play Dancing at Lughnasa, which won three Tony Awards in 1992.
Mr. Friel is survived by his wife Anne and their five children.
