Bride-to-be goes partying in Australian nightclub so she can catch Covid and it won’t ruin her wedding in a few weeks’ time

A woman planning to get married has been seen enjoying herself in a nightclub in Melbourne, Australia so she could get Covid before her wedding so that her day isn’t spoiled.

According to The Mirror, the woman posted a video on social media platform TikTok, in which she hugged men and women while dancing, with a very specific caption that read “Catch Covid not feelings.  POV your wedding is in six weeks and you still haven’t had Covid.”

Fellow brides-to-be posted on the video.

One woman said: “Feb 5 bride and I feel this on so many levels.”

Another commented: “We need to do this before your engagement just in case.”

Gatherings that have become known as “Catch Covid parties” have started to take place – one “catch-Covid” gathering that took place in Norway had the result of a record 50 to 60 people getting the infection with the Omicron strain.

Dr. Catherine Bennett spoke to the Daily Mail about how members of the public shouldn’t try to catch Covid deliberately.  Dr. Bennett, an infectious disease expert said that people should “avoid being infected for as long as you possibly can.”
