British Airways flight forced to divert to Shannon Airport after pregnant woman begins to experience contractions in mid-flight




British Airways flight BA-292, en route from Washington to London, was forced to divert to Shannon Airport after a heavily pregnant woman began having contractions in mid-flight.

The flight landed without incident just after 10am today, and the woman was rushed to University Hospital Limerick.

The aircraft resumed its journey to London shortly afterwards.
