The strike action at British Airways (BA) today prompted the cancellation of sixteen flights between Ireland and the UK, leaving hundreds of passengers with nowhere to go.
BA was forced to cancel the vast majority of its scheduled flights for Monday and Tuesday after pilots walked out in a row over pay.
BA flights will remain grounded on Tuesday, with further disruption expected to last well into Wednesday.
Pilots will walk out again on September 27 if their demands are not met.
