British brothers aged 7 and 9 tragically drown in a German lake during a family holiday
Rescuers were able to pull the children out of the water and take them to hospitals in Aachen and Cologne, but they later died.
The 7 and 9-yr-old brothers were reported missing by their parents at a designated bathing area on the Eiserbachsee south of Aachen.
According to the German newspaper Bild, help was called around 6pm on Thursday.
