British Government commences the repatriation of hundreds of thousands of people stranded abroad after the collapse of Thomas Cook




The British Government will soon be commencing repatriation arrangements for the estimated 150,000 people stranded abroad following the collapse of Thomas Cook.

The company had faced dire financial straits in recent days. The announcement that Thomas Cook was no more came in the early hours of Monday morning.

Thomas Cook employed about 20,000 people worldwide, 9,000 of those in the UK. All these jobs are now more than likely gone.
