British holidaymakers might be able to jet off to sunny destinations from July 4, as the government is set to announce ‘air bridges.’

An air bridge refers to a flight route between the UK and a country declared ‘safe’ from coronavirus. The air bridge status would eliminate the need for a 14-day quarantine.

The Irish Government is reportedly considering a similar idea, though no specifics have yet been revealed.
