British man faces custodial sentence for setting 5G mast alight in the UK

A British man is facing a custodial sentence after being convicted of an arson attack on a 5G mast.

The incident happened in Merseyside, Liverpool, on April 5 last.

The perpetrator, identified as 47-year-old man Michael Whitty, has been informed that jail time is ‘inevitable.’

A number of arson attacks on 5G masts were carried out in the UK and elsewhere, following outlandish conspiracy theories that the masts were somehow being used to spread the coronavirus.
