
Queues formed in front of garden centres and hardware stores up and down the country as companies across Ireland reopened today as part of the first phase of lifting restrictions on Covid-19.

Electrical stores were reopened, as were farmers’ markets, opticians, hearing aid tests, and some sports facilities, including tennis golf courses also opened.
However, reopened companies have been forced to have strict social distancing measures, with retailers report widespread public compliance.
Many people are still working remotely and must continue that way until further phases see further easing of lockdown.
