Jo Cox, 41, has sadly died after getting shot and stabbed during a savage street attack in Birstall, near Leeds, UK.
An eye witness described how she got shot twice and stabbed a number of times, then left bleeding heavily on the pavement.
She was rushed to hospital in a critical condition, but was later confirmed dead.
Ms. Cox leaves behind a husband and two small children, aged three and five.
A 52-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident. He has been named locally as Tommy Mair, and police say they are not looking for anyone else.
