A man arrested this morning at 11am in Brussels was said to be the prime suspect of yesterday’s horrific attacks, Najim Laachraoui.
However, in the last number of minutes, it has been revealed by the Belgian federal prosecutor that it’s actually a different person the authorities have arrested.
The DH newspaper reported that Laachroui, who is said to be the third man pictured on the CCTV footage at the airport, was arrested in the Anderlecht area of the city.
But then another newspaper, La Libre Belgique, claimed it’s a different person had been arrested. DH said the man detained had been misidentified.
All the confusion comes as police up their search for Laachroui to be the most wanted man in the world.
