Budget 2020 is underway, and smokers are going to be hit hard, as the price for a packet of 20 cigarettes is set to rise by 50c from midnight tonight.
Those intending to keep feeding their habit will have to fork out €13.50 per packet from now on.
The Budget also includes a €1.2bn ‘Brexit Package’.
