The Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe has confirmed that the annual Christmas Bonus will be paid to all social welfare recipients this year.
In an announcement expected to be made this afternoon, Donohoe is expected to confirm that the bonus will still be issued to social welfare recipients at a cost of around €400 million.
It’s understood that all social welfare recipients will receive at least €5 extra in their weekly payments.
