If there is one thing that politicians in this country love more than a taxpayer-funded holiday, is meaningless buzzwords. And the ‘fiscal space’ combo is certainly up there with the best of them.
Minister for Finance Michael Noonan has said that there may be less ‘fiscal space’ now that Donald Trump has won the top job, adding that there may be a “downward risk” of money to throw around.
Mr. Noonan confirmed that the new President Elect may have an effect on our budget. Cryptically, he added “You’d be right in your assumption that the risk is downward at present.”
