Arguably one of the most detested political figures in the country, along with Enda Kenny, Joan Burton is about to feel the wrath of the people, according to the latest poll done in her West Dublin constituency.
Leo Varadkar and Paul Donnelly are so far in the lead in her constituency, with 20% support each. Jack Chambers and Ruth Coppinger are placed at 17% and 15% for Fianna Fáil and AAA-PBP. Burton is running 5th in the 4-seat-constituency, and with over two weeks to go, it would seem the wind is firmly in her face in terms of gaining any support.
Horrendous policies and austerity have lead to impending demolition of the Labour Party. Burton, as its leader, looks like she’s about to take the full brunt of it herself come February 26th.
