The brother of a 24-yr-old woman who was stabbed to death by her ex-husband last year has called for the creation of a registry of those convicted of domestic violence.
Jason Poole believes that if such a record existed, his sister Jennifer would still be alive today.
Hhe was speaking today at the launch of a Fianna Fáil strategy paper aimed at tackling violence against women.
The party document comes just weeks before the justice Minsiter is presenting her own plan to Cabinet, which the ministry said will adopt a “zero tolerance” approach to domestic violence.
