Care home operators introduce no jab no job policy

Two of the UK’s leading care home operators have introduced a no jab no job policy following concerns over Covid-19 vaccine take up.

According to The Guardian newspaper, both Care UK and Barchester say they are introducing the policy in the interests of staff and patient care

It is reported that Care UK which operates 120 care homes have issued the policy for anyone wishing to apply for a job at the company.

Care UK say they would expect anyone who is applying for a position at any of our care homes to have received the vaccination before they start work.

Meanwhile Barchester say the policy will apply to current employees who work at their care home facilities.

The company say anyone who refuses the Covid-19 vaccine on non-medical grounds will by reason of their own decision, make themselves unavailable for work
