A spokesperson for the Central Bank has warned of ‘unprecedented’ financial shock once the pandemic is over.
The Governor of the Central Bank, Gabriel Makhlouf, added that the Irish Government is facing ‘fantastic levels of uncertainty‘ in the wake of Covid-19’s decimation of the national economy.
According to Mr. Makhlouf, the longer the lockdown lasts, the worse consequences for many companies will be.
