Charlie Flanagan: I don’t want any asylum seekers sleeping on our streets

It would appear that the government cares much more about people who weren’t born here or even stepped foot here than our own lying to die homeless on our streets.

Speaking recently, the Minister for Justice Charlie Flanagan has called on the people protesting direct provision centres to take a step back following growing concerns of the housing of an unknown number of undocumented migrants in the region.

Flanagan said that there is a need to build more Direct Provision Centres and he doesn’t want any migrants to be sleeping rough.

Minister Flanagan’s comments as protests were held in Leitrim last week over concerns that a Direct Provision Centre will be built.

The good people of Leitrim have stated that there isn’t enough resources in the region to cater for a direct provision centre for an unknown number of undocumented migrants.
