A woman in America almost lost out on massive lotto winnings of $3 million after the email to say that she had won ended up in her spam folder.
According to the Metro, Laura Spears of Oakland County in Michigan bought a Mega Millions ticket on December 31st.
Weeks later she was searching through her emails when she came across a message to say that she had won the jackpot. If she hadn’t seen it, it would have been deleted and she could have missed out on the big prize. Instead, she kicked off the New Year in style.
The 55-year-old now plans to retire early and splash the cash with family.
