Chemical castration and genital mutilation banned for children in U.S state as push back against gender ideology gains traction

The push back against gender ideologues targeting children for chemical castration and genital mutilation continues with South Dakota Republican Gov. Kristi Noem signing a bill into law that will ban both surgical and non-surgical treatments for minors in the state.

The bill, HB1080, will be prohibit the administering of puberty blocking medication to children under the age of 18, as well as sex hormones and genital mutilating surgeries related sex change operations.

The bill’s Senate sponsor, Al Novstrup, argued Thursday that the legislation is a way to provide “meaningful help.”

“We care deeply about children who are struggling with their identities and want to provide them with true meaningful help, not permanent physical damage,” the Republican said.

Earlier this month whistle-blower Jamie Reed, a former case manager at the Washington University Transgender Center at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, has revealed her experience of how the promotion of transgenderism to children is causing them to undergo “morally and medically appalling” procedures.

Ms. Reed left her position with Washington University in November after four years as she said “because I could no longer participate in what was happening there.”

“What is happening … is morally and medically appalling,” the whistle-blower warned Thursday in a piece for The Free Press.

According to Reed — who describes herself as a queer “progressive” and married to a “trans man” — soon after she started working at the paediatric gender clinic, she was “struck by the lack of formal protocols for treatment,” leaving physician co-directors as the “sole authority.” The New York Post reported.

Reed revealed how due to the dogma of gender ideology young children were being “transitioned” with little oversight and the University even streamlined the process by offering therapists a template letter to confirm a child was trans.

“To make it more efficient for the therapists, we offered them a template for how to write a letter in support of transition,’ she wrote.

“When I started there were probably 10 such calls a month,” Reed wrote. “When I left there were 50, and about 70 percent of the new patients were girls. Sometimes clusters of girls arrived from the same high school.”

Reed said she felt concerned but never expressed them to her colleagues.

“Anyone who raised doubts ran the risk of being called a transphobe,” she said.

According to the New York Post, Reed attributed the troublesome trend to “social contagion,” or the spreading of emotions or behaviour among a group — but the clinic’s doctors said “gender identity reflected something innate.”

Similar warnings have were expressed in 2022 by Miriam Cates, a UK Member of Parliament and former biology teacher, has told her fellow MPs that the country’s sex education curriculum is encouraging pupils to self-identify as transgender, the Daily Mail UK reported.

Cates explained how gender dysphoria had been extremely rare but with the promotion of transgenderism on social media platforms and by celebrities and academics there is now a phenomenon of ‘social contagion’ which is seeing a dramatic rise in transgenderism among impressionable children.

This tragic situation is compounded by sex education curricula being altered to promote gender ideology to children with a YouGov poll finding 79% of secondary teachers had trans or non-binary pupils.

According to the Daily Mail the MP cited materials from the Sex Education Forum that divided children into ‘menstruators and non-menstruators’ and said this would lead to confusion for a teenage girl whose periods did not start.

It now appears as if Irish children will soon face this same confusion foisted upon them through warped gender ideology.
