Child abduction accused allegedly ‘kissed another child’ moments earlier, court hears

Due to an incident that occurred on Monday in a Belfast shopping centre, a 38-year-old woman has been charged with attempted child abduction and has appeared in court, reports The Mirror.

At her appearance at Belfast Magistrates’ Court today, Noleen Creen, of Bunbeg Park in the Lenadoon neighbourhood of Belfast City, attested to her understanding of the charges brought against her.

According to the testimony given in court, Creen went into a business on Donegall Road in the Park Centre on Monday, May 20, at around 1:00 p.m., took up a one-year-old kid, and left the area with them, reports The Mirror.

The court heard that just before to this occurrence, Creen was shown on camera approaching a different youngster who was under the supervision of their parents, giving them a forehead kiss, and then turning around.

The two occurrences, which lasted about ninety seconds each, are captured on camera.

Creen provided a “disjointed account” of the incidents and claimed not to remember them in later interviews with the PSNI, reports The Mirror.
