When a Singapore Airlines aircraft from Heathrow Airport encountered extreme turbulence, one British airline customer died and several others were wounded, reports The Mirror.

The plane was redirected to Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport, where a representative stated the 73-year-old man had a possible heart attack.

According to a passenger on Flight SQ321 from Singapore, there was a “dramatic drop” in the aircraft, which caused those who weren’t wearing seatbelts to be “launched immediately into the ceiling.”

Pictures from the event were shared on social media, showing the cabin’s ceiling damaged with food, silverware and other debris lying all over the floor, reports The Mirror.
