Jack and Sarah have finally arrived home this morning, after a bitter last few days in the US.
Their stepmother, Molly Martens, had launched a last-ditch appeal to retain custody after a North Carolina judge granted custody to the children’s aunt here in Limerick.
Jack and Sarah are believed to have spent their final hours in the US in a secure location as their family worked tirelessly to get them home safely.
The children boarded a flight at Newark Airport earlier today, and have now been confirmed to have arrived at Shannon Airport.
The children’s father, Jason Corbett, died in unclear circumstances during a domestic disturbance earlier this month.
