The grim discovery was made by a group of children playing on Maroubra beach, in Sydney, Australia.
The children were digging holes in the sand when they stumbled upon a baby’s body buried there.
Police were called to the beach and a crime scene has been established around the area. The age and gender of the baby have not yet been determined.
