China will reportedly scrap its two-children policy and begin encouraging married couples to have three children instead, in an effort to reverse a quickly aging population trend.

China’s traditional one-child policy was scrapped in 2015.

Nevertheless, the vast majority of the population in China cannot even afford to have one or two children, so the policy is likely bound to have little impact.
