Gardai in Co Cork have launched an investigation after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted over the weekend.
It is understood the investigation comes after the woman aged in her late teens was allegedly assaulted near a beach in Allihies, in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Gardai are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area on Friday night or the early hours of Saturday morning to come and contact them at Bantry Garda Station.
