Climate change activist thugs dumped mashed potatoes on Claude Monet’s “Les Meules” painting before gluing their hands to the ground.

The two activists of the Letzte Generation (Last Generation) entered the Barberini Museum in Potsdam in Germany on Sunday afternoon wearing high visibility jackets.

Dramatic footage shows the moment the couple throws mashed potatoes on the historic artwork.

They throw two bowls of mashed potatoes at us before slapping their hands on the floor.

It is unclear if the artwork has been damaged or is behind protective glass.

Sharing the video to the group’s Twitter account, a spokesperson said: “We make this #Monet the stage and the public the audience. If it takes a painting – with #MashedPotatoes or #TomatoSoup thrown at it – to make society remember that the fossil fuel course is killing us all: Then we’ll give you #MashedPotatoes on a painting!,” reports Metro.

This comes after Just Stop Oil activists spilled soup on a priceless painting by Vincent Van Gogh in the National Gallery.

Activists entered the central London gallery on October 14 and threw a load of groceries at the painting, the Dutch artist’s iconic ‘Sunflowers’, then stuck to the wall in their latest environmental protest.

After throwing soup on the painting, one of the protesters asked the assembled crowd: “What is worth more, art or life? Is it worth more than food? More than justice?,” reported Metro.

The incident follows a series of similar demonstrations by activist groups across Europe.

The news comes as Just Stop Oil protesters blocked the famous Abbey Road intersection striking the same pose as the Beatles as they blocked traffic in London in their latest weather stunt.

Members of the eco-mafia walked the footbridge in north-west London at 1 p.m. today as they continue to wreak havoc on the streets of the capital.

The video shows four protesters walking across the zebra crossing and striking the pose made famous by the Beatles on their Abbey Road album cover.

Just Stop Oil is a series of groups committed to lobbying the government to end new licenses and remove consensus for fossil fuel exploration, production and development in the UK.
