Close to 500 patients are tonight waiting for beds in hospitals around the country




The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) reported that 480 admitted patients were on the waiting list for beds.

Of these, 122 were in wards located around the hospital, while 358 were waiting in the emergency room, according to the organization’s Trolley Watch.

There are 85 people at University Hospital Limerick who are awaiting beds. Of them, 42 are in other hospital wards and 43 are in the emergency room, reports Breaking News.

Five patients are awaiting a bed at Crumlin’s Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital.

There are 28 patients awaiting a bed at Cork University Hospital and 65 at University Hospital Galway, reports Breaking News.

Twenty-five patients are awaiting beds at University Hospital Kerry and Sligo University Hospital.

Twenty patients are awaiting beds at Beaumont Hospital’s emergency room, twenty-five are at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, and twenty-six are at Tallaght University Hospital, reports Breaking News.
