
The Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan has said that Ireland’s Covid-19 incidence rate is decreasing.
Speaking about the latest trends Dr Holohan said the incidence rate amongst young adolescents is decreasing in particular and hospitalisations are beginning to stablise across the country.
Dr Holohan urged those who are not yet vaccinated to get the vaccine as it offers the best pathway out of the pandemic.
He added that NPHET will continue to monitor the situation over the coming weeks ahead.
