As Third Level Institutions prepare to reopen across the country the situation regarding student accommodation is more dire than it has ever been.
As many students face the prospect of being forced to drop out of their college of choice due to lack of accommodation the government continues to procure properties that were to be used for this purpose to house migrants.
In just one such egregious example of this disregard and disdain for the Irish students from this government, it was announced that 178 migrants are due to be housed in Milligan Court in Sligo.
Outrage was first provoked last year when the owners of both Milligan Court and Benbulben Court stopped letting the accommodation to students in favour of jumping into the taxpayer funded pig’s trough of cash lavished on those providing accommodation to asylum seekers.
The government continues to allocate billions of euros of taxpayer money to establish migrant plantations in communities across Ireland as an already unprecedented housing and homelessness crisis continues to worse with many asking, when will we, as a people, have had enough?
