A roaring and cheering crowd welcomed back the Irish team at Dublin Airport today.
The players were hailed as heroes after soundly beating Scotland 40-10 at Murrayfield yesterday, thus seizing the Six Nations title.
The Irish women’s rugby team have now followed on the footsteps of their male counterparts, after taking their Six Nations rugby union title this afternoon with a thumping 73-3 win over Scotland.
The women’s team are due back in Dublin Airport just before 10pm tonight.
