
A Midlands town has been left “absolutely heartbroken” after the sudden death of a young woman who was “loved by everyone who met her”, reports The Mirror.
Twenty-year-old Ciara McKenna, from Longford, died suddenly yesterday afternoon, sparking a wave of comments on social media.
Former pupil Scoil Mhuire was a much-loved and respected member of staff at the local restaurant Take Two.
A popular venue on Earl Street has closed as a mark of respect following the untimely death of a young Longford woman.
“It is with a very heavy heart that we bring you the heartbreaking news of the sudden passing of our cherished member of staff, Ciara McKenna RIP,” read the post, reports The Mirror.
“On Monday, December 11, our restaurant will be closed as a mark of respect,” reports The Mirror.
The news sparked a flood of touching tributes and messages of support online from close friends and the wider public.
One person wrote.: “One of the sweetest girls I have ever had the pleasure of growing up with. Truly one of the sweetest angels I have ever known. Longford will be a different place without her,” reports The Mirror.
“A beautiful lady inside and out,” wrote one person, reports The Mirror.
