
Irish commuters are being urged to double check timetables before they set off as Irish Rail have confirmed that a number of routes will be out of service due to maintenance works.
In an announcement Irish Rail say the works will take place from today until Monday.
Amongst the routes affected, Irish Rail say a number of services to and from Heuston Station will be affected.
They also say no DART service will operate between Connolly to Dun Laoghaire due to roof and southside track repairs at Pearse Station.
The company say there will also be no services between Athenry and Galway .
Meanwhile there will be no services between Bray, Greystones and Rosslare due to coastal defense works.
However the company have confirmed that a number of bus transfers are available and those travelling on the affected routes are advised to check the Irish Rail website.
