The National Lottery Headquarters have confirmed the winning Euromillions ticket was sold in Dublin.
According to rumours circulating on social media yesterday, the winning ticket was bought by a 34 person syndicate in Cork, with many suggesting workers at the Glounthaune Johnson and Johnson factory were the lucky winners. However that is not the case.
The winning numbers drawn for the mammoth jackpot worth €88.5m were 01, 05, 07, 17, 23 with the Lucky Stars being 03 and 08.
