Ireland is all over UK news today and it emerged that one of the London Islamic terrorists had an Irish ID card on them.
The Garda Commissioner is holding a special meeting of security and intelligence officers in Garda Headquarters this morning after it emerged that one of the London ISIS attackers lived in Dublin for quite some time.
Gardai this morning have confirmed that an Irish identity card was found on one of the three Islamic terrorists shot dead by police in on Saturday night in Borough Market in London.
They have also confirmed that they did not know anything about this particular individual.
He wasn’t flagged in relation to any crime or security issues.
The man is believed to have been of Moroccan origin and officers at the Garda National Immigration Bureau are checking records to ascertain more information but it’s understood he lived in Dublin.
This unbelievable revelation is now being investigated by both gardai and the metropolitan police.
