It has now been confirmed by multiple sources that a Russian armored column sustained grievous losses while attempting to make a river crossing in eastern Ukraine.
The Ukrainian attack caught the Russian units in a vulnerable position as engineers were attempting to set up a pontoon bridge to cross the Siversky Donets River in Bilohorivka in recent days.
Russia reportedly lost no fewer than 73 vehicles and around 1,500 soldiers following a combined arms operation carried out to perfection by Ukrainian units during May 8-9.
