Contingency plans were secretly put in place to prevent unilateral military action by the disgraced former President Donald Trump, a new book claims.
The book Peril, written by acclaimed, Pulitzer-winner author Bob Woodward and Washington Post reported Robert Costa, describes the former President’s acute ‘mental decline’ following his loss to Joe Biden in the 2020 election.
According to the book, the fear that an unhinged Donald Trump might call for a strike on China was so great that the 20th chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, was forced to place a call to his Chinese counterpart, Gen. Li Zuocheng, to dispel any such concerns.
The book, which has not yet been released, says that Milley was ‘fearful Trump might spark war.’
