A convicted German child killer has been named as suspect in the case of Madeleine McCann’s disappearance.
48-year-old Martin Ney, from Hamburg in Germany, is currently serving a life sentence for the murder of three children. It is alleged that the killer was working at a homeless facility in Portugal at the time when Madeleine went missing, and his face resembles a photo-fit of the alleged kidnapper.
German investigators involved in Mr. Ney’s case have ruled out his involvement in the Madeleine case however, as Ney was known to specifically target boys only.
Nevertheless, Ney may have been part of an active paedophile ring operating in Portugal when Madeleine disappeared in Praia da Luz back in 2007.
