Cork Airport is to close for 10 weeks as runway refitting works are scheduled to get underway in September.
The facility will remain closed from September 13 to, tentatively, November 22.
It’s unclear why these works are only getting underway now, as Ireland begins to reopen, instead of doing them during the height of the pandemic, when activity at the airport was low anyway.
