Cork County Council on alert due to the possibility of flooding today




Cork County Council is on alert today, due to the possibility of flooding.

Heavy rain and strong winds are forecast for Saturday, which will coincide with high spring tides over the next 48h.

The Council is particularly concerned about areas in and around Morrison’s Quay, Fr. Matthew Quay, Trinity Bridge, South Terrace, Union Quay, Sharman Crawford St., Wandesford Quay, Frenche’s Quay, Proby’s Quay, Crosses Green, Lavitt’s Quay, and Kyrl’s Quay.
