In the latest of a series of cancellations due to the Coronavirus, it has been announced that this year’s Eurovision will not now go ahead.
Announcing the decision on the official Eurovision Song Contest website, organisers have said that they have done their best to find ways in which the competition could go ahead, but it has now been decided that they have no option but to cancel.
It’s disappointment for singer Lesley Roy, who was due to represent Ireland in the event in Rotterdam in May, and many Eurovision fans will no doubt be disappointed also.
