The HSE announced on Saturday evening that there was 778 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Republic of Ireland with another 41 people dying.
It brings the total in the Republic of Ireland to 14,758 cases and 571 deaths with the government expecting a 30% increase daily from this week.
There’s 57% of men with coronavirus and 43% of women with the average age being 48.
Meanwhile in the north, there were 148 new confirmed cases today bringing the total in Northern Ireland to 2,486 with the total number of deaths there now standing at 193 from hospital settings.
It means that as of Thursday morning, there’s a total of 764 deaths from coronavirus.
