The HSE announced on Sunday evening that there was 493 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Republic of Ireland with another 439 people dying.
It brings the total in the Republic of Ireland to 15,251 cases and 610 deaths with the government expecting a 30% increase daily from this week.
There’s 57% of men with coronavirus and 43% of women with the average age being 48.
Meanwhile in the north, there were 159 new confirmed cases today bringing the total in Northern Ireland to 2,645 with the total number of deaths there now standing at 194 from hospital settings.
It means that as of Thursday morning, there’s a total of 804 deaths from coronavirus.
