Taoiseach Simon Harris has stated that cost-of-living adjustments “must once again be a focus” for Budget 2025, reports RTE.
Despite the fact that there are a record 2.7 million people working, he claimed earnings should rise this year since inflation is starting to moderate.
According to him, “a strong economy has to translate into tangible benefits for our people.” This is something the government is aware of, reports RTE.
“Right now, I know people are still hurting,” he said.
“Cost of living increases have left them feeling their personal finances are insecure and might not withstand any further shocks. We need to give them a sense of security that the Government get this,” reports RTE.
