After close to 2 years on, a court heard that a man trained his Staffordshire Bull Terrier as if it were a weapon to attack two people. For reasons unknown, 28-year-old Aaron Cammock placed Blue on top of a man who was pushing his baby in a stroller and forced him to drop the stroller when he stepped out onto the street. The dog then dragged his father down the street in Horden, County Durham, while Cammock called “catch him.” A worker rushed to help him, but Blue then turned on him and continued his attack as the two victims tried to take refuge in a nearby store.

Eventually, Cammock left the scene, but they found him and took the dog from him. When he found out that Blue had been arrested, he said, “You took my life.” Durham Crown Court heard that the dog was previously used to carry out sustained attacks on Cammock’s ex and that she needs treatment for cuts and bruises on her body and face.

Following the attacks and human bites, Judge Ray Singh ordered that Blue, who had been in the kennels since the February 2019 incident, be exterminated. The dog was placed in kennels following the incident in February 2019 and Cammock was incarcerated for more than three years. He was banned from having a dog for 10 years and received a lifetime restraining order preventing him from contacting his ex.
