The Minister for Foreign Affairs Simon Coveney will meet with the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi later today.
In a key meeting it is expected that Coveney and Pelosi will discuss a number of matters including Covid-19, Northern Ireland and Brexit.
It is also expected that the Minister for Foreign Affairs will meet with Senators and Representatives at Capitol Hill.
The meetings come as both Coveney and the Taoiseach Micheal Martin have visited New York this week to attend a number of UN meetings.
