Acting Chief Medical Officer has not ruled out a return to Phase 2 of lockdown if the coronavirus situation continues to deteriorate in Ireland.
Dr. Ronan Glynn insisted that while the possibility ‘cannot be ruled out’, adding that ‘it’s in our hands’ to avoid such a major setback.
A total of 1,753 people have died from Covid-19-related causes in Ireland so far.
